From St. Barth airport to Gouverneur Beach, what to expect

Gouverneur is a dramatic crescent-shaped beach hidden behind a steep hill in the south of the island. The road in is narrow and twisting, and the beach itself has no services, just sand and sea.

From the moment we step out of the SBH terminal, Gouverneur Beach is roughly 15 minutes away. The standard fare, before midnight, hovers around 55 euros. After midnight the surcharge is 20 euros, but very few drivers operate that late so we always pre-book in that case.

On Sundays the road is quieter. Fewer drivers work. We plan dinner timing accordingly when we do not have a rental car.
